Vision® bird homes have many revolutionary design features that set it apart from traditional bird cages. Most cages come with pull-out drawers that fail to do a good job at collecting bird waste and create maintenance headaches as a result. Vision®’s unique no-drawer design simplifies cage cleaning—simply detach the cage portion and empty the contents of the base into the waste bin. The result is less time-consuming, messy cleanups associated with bird keeping, leaving you more time to enjoy your pet. Vision®’s deep base can handle multiple types of litter, while raised ridges inside the base provide air circulation and help prevent mildew. The bird homes also allow non-invasive, exterior access to seed/water cups, reducing stress to birds during maintenance. In addition, multi-grip perches promote circulation and help prevent foot problems. The knock-down cages are easy to assemble.
Includes: terracotta perches, terracotta food and water dishes.
Vision® bird homes are available in a variety of sizes, as well as in small or large wire cage sizes. They are recommended for bird species as listed due to their natural behaviors and not by size of bird.
The large cage is suitable for Budgies, Canaries, Lovebirds and Finches.
When Hagen bird cage designers go to the drawing board, they take the below checklist with them to guide them through the creative and design processes. This ensures that the final outcome produces a bird cage that delivers a pleasant and convenient overall experience for both birds and keepers.
Most perches come in one uniform diameter. So birds using these types of uniformly-sized perches develop the same grasping position. Vision perches have a wavy pattern with varying diameters. So as birds grip them at different perch points, the gripping variations promote blood circulation and prevent foot problems.
Birds tend to be frenetic eaters. As they eat, seeds invariably fly all over the place. When birds fly in their cages, their flapping wings create downward air currents. Frenetic eating and downdraft can cause quite a mess. Vision's deep base combined with the low position of the feeders solves the messiness problem. Flying food and feces ultimately wind up in the base.
Vision cages come with large front double doors. They open towards the inside and serve as a convenient landing pad for birds returning from a brief jaunt outside the cage. Another great benefit is that when birds perch on the open doors, their waste falls in the base inside the cage and not n the floor. The doors work independently, so you can close one and leave the other one open. This comes in handy when you need to handle a bird, because it allows you to reach inside and minimizes the chances of your bird escaping.
